What I like most about working at Abbey is the culture. We're serious about delivering quality work there's none of the performative stress, politics or late-night heroics you see at some companies. People trust each other to get things done and are there to support you when needed. My department is always encouraging each other to share ideas and improve on what we do, which I like a lot. We don’t just accept things as “how they have always been done” and like to experiment with creative solutions.

Working as a Senior Operations Manager at Abbey Conferences is incredibly rewarding. I’m surrounded by a supportive, solutions-driven team that takes pride in delivering exceptional conferences. Working for the Abbey Group means no two days are the same. It’s a vibrant, diverse, and fast-paced workplace. In my role within the Conference Team, I work with a wide range of clients from different backgrounds across Ireland, the UK, and Europe. The group truly lives by its values, senior management is approachable and easy to communicate with and teamwork is prioritised and encouraged. The company has many components, but we celebrate our wins together and work through challenges as a team.

What I enjoy most about my role is bringing people together through well-organized, successful events. From setup to wrap-up, I work closely with our team to make sure every conference feels welcoming, efficient, and memorable. With a strong focus on logistics and teamwork, I oversee conference operations to ensure each event is delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standard. Seeing a conference come together flawlessly is what motivates me every day.

I’ve been with Abbey for over 11 years and for me what makes this company so special and so good at what we do are the people within it. From day 1, you are made feel valued, trusted and cared about as an individual. I think we’re a company that doesn’t believe in hierarchies, everybody is respected and everybody is treated equally.
